The Sirius Hotel Group has appointed John Adams as Chair as the hotel management company continues its plans for expansion.

Adams joined the business as a Non-Executive Director in 2016 and brings 45 years of experience across a range of financial roles.
During his time with The Sirius Hotel Group, his focus has included corporate governance and financial reporting processes to support the company’s growth.
David JM Orr, CEO, The Sirius Hotel Group, said: “We are privileged to be able to draw on John’s expertise as we grow as a platform with The Resident and Four Points Flex by Sheraton brands, building on our reputation-led track record for developing, repositioning and operating hotels.
“John has been a most trusted advisor for the past decade and we look forward to working with him in his new position.”
Adams succeeds Jane Bentall, who will remain involved with the company as a strategic advisor as the group continues its expansion plans.
Adams said: “Jane is one of the most significant leaders in our sector and has been central to the vision and growth of the business during her tenure. I look forward to her continuing to support us as I take on the role of chair, working with the Board and the Executive team to build on the strong momentum of the business.”
Adams has experience across start-ups, acquisitions and realisations, having held roles including Finance Director, financial consultant and Non-Executive Director.
Alongside his position at The Sirius Hotel Group, he is a Non-Executive Director of Millard Estates Limited and Grove End Housing Limited.
He holds a BA (Hons) in Economics from the University of Exeter and was an FCA Chartered Accountant and ICAEW qualified.
The appointment follows the company’s rebrand from Resident Hotels to The Sirius Hotel Group earlier in 2026.
The new identity reflects its strategy to grow with capital partners as a specialist hotel management platform focused on developing and operating city-centre hotels.
The group operates across The Resident and Four Points Flex by Sheraton brands and has experience in hotel development, repositioning and conversions.
The Sirius Hotel Group is targeting a portfolio of more than 30 hotels over the next six to ten years, adding more than 20 properties to its existing estate.
