Company of Cooks has been appointed as the new food, drink and events partner for Apothecaries’ Hall in the City of London.

The three-year agreement will see the catering and hospitality business provide services across events at the 17th-century venue, which is home to the Society of Apothecaries.
Apothecaries’ Hall is the oldest surviving Livery Hall in the City of London and comprises four event spaces, including a courtyard.
Its events programme ranges from internal Society and Livery occasions to external commercial events, including seasonal parties, corporate meetings and other functions.
As part of the partnership, Company of Cooks will introduce a dedicated on-site event seller to support the commercial development of the venue.
The role will be supported by eve, Company of Cooks’ sister brand specialising in event sales, marketing and management.
Company of Cooks was selected following a competitive tender, with its experience working with Livery Halls forming part of the appointment.
Sustainability and community initiatives will also form part of the partnership.
These include Company of Cooks’ London Larder initiative, which incorporates produce from local artisan suppliers into menus, alongside its work with social enterprise Luminary Bakery.
Luminary Bakery supports women experiencing social and economic disadvantage through skills development and employment opportunities.
Andrew Bapniah, Operations Director for Company of Cooks, said: “We’re delighted to be the new exclusive food, drink and events partner for the Society of Apothecaries at Apothecaries’ Hall and to welcome the stunning venue into our portfolio of London Livery Halls. Apothecaries’ Hall is steeped in history, and we’re excited to have the honour of showcasing this important heritage venue through memorable events and hospitality experiences.
“We’re experienced in working with Livery Halls and we share the Society’s vision of unlocking the full commercial opportunities that Apothecaries’ Hall holds. We will do this in a way that reflects today’s event market, whilst always being mindful and respectful of the venue and the traditions and workings of London’s Livery Halls, as well as the local community we operate within. The team is excited about the future of our partnership and Apothecaries’ Hall.”
Nick Royle, the Society of Apothecaries’ Chief Executive Officer, was delighted to welcome Company of Cooks to Apothecaries Hall: “Company of Cooks has a fantastic reputation across the City of London, and our many clients will be excited to work with them. We’re very proud of our reputation as an exceptional venue, and Company of Cooks fits that profile very well.”
The partnership adds Apothecaries’ Hall to Company of Cooks’ portfolio of venues and will see the team work with the Society to develop both its hospitality offer and commercial events programme over the next three years.
