Jamavar London is celebrating a decade in Mayfair this August with its first-ever Onam Sadhya.

Available exclusively from 17 to 31 August, the limited-edition lunch experience pays tribute to Kerala’s annual harvest festival through one of its most cherished culinary traditions.
At the heart of Onam is the Sadhya, Kerala’s grand harvest feast of 21 dishes traditionally served on a banana leaf and shared among family and friends.
A celebration of abundance, generosity and togetherness, the Sadhya reflects the values that have long shaped the Nair family’s approach to hospitality and, in turn, the philosophy behind Jamavar.
Leelamma’s Onam Sadhya is rooted in the memory of Leela Nair, fondly known as Leelamma, the beloved matriarch of the Nair family.
The menu is both a personal tribute and a celebration of Jamavar’s South Indian heritage.
Served exclusively at lunch, the 21-dish feast draws on the family’s own Onam traditions, expressing the generosity of Kerala’s harvest through a menu shaped by seasonality, balance and togetherness.
Traditionally served on a banana leaf, the Sadhya has been reimagined at Jamavar with quiet refinement, honouring the rituals of the celebration while presenting them through the restaurant’s Michelin-starred lens.
Curated by Culinary Director and Executive Chef Surender Mohan, the experience unfolds through the familiar rhythm of a traditional Sadhya.
Crisp banana chips, pickles and relishes give way to coconut-rich vegetable preparations, fragrant curries and rice, celebrating the balance and generosity that define Kerala’s harvest feast.
Reflecting Kerala’s coastal character and Leela Nair’s festive table, Jamavar’s interpretation features sea bass inspired by the traditional Meen Porichathu, marinated in coastal spices and fried until golden, alongside an Alleppey prawn curry.
A fully vegetarian menu is also available, in keeping with the inclusive spirit of the celebration.
The feast concludes with two South Indian desserts: delicate Pal Payasam and rich Parippu Pradhaman, served with a traditional elaichi banana.
This customary finale symbolises the gentle close of the meal.
Leelamma’s Onam Sadhya is more than a seasonal menu. It is Jamavar London’s first celebration of Onam and a tribute to the South Indian heritage of the Nair family as part of the restaurant’s tenth anniversary.
Drawing on family tradition and the legacy of Leelamma, the experience offers guests an opportunity to discover one of Kerala’s most treasured culinary rituals through the lens of Jamavar.
