At Lita, wine has never simply accompanied the meal – it has shaped the experience. Now, the restaurant introduces Lita Salon, a new monthly series of intimate, wine-led evenings designed to bring together exceptional bottles, thoughtful food, and a dynamic community around one table.

Hosted by Wine Director Kristina Gladilina, Lita Salon reimagines the spirit of the classic European salon for a new generation of diners: relaxed, immersive evenings where conversation flows as freely as the wine. More than a tasting, each edition is conceived as a social gathering – an opportunity to discover rare and exciting wines in a warm, convivial setting.
Known for its fire-led Mediterranean cooking and ingredient-driven approach, Lita has quickly become one of London’s most exciting dining destinations. Under the direction of Culinary Director Kostas Papathanasiou, the menu celebrates exceptional British and European produce through bold, generous dishes designed to be shared.
Lita Salon extends that philosophy beyond the plate. Set within the restaurant’s softly lit dining room, each gathering is intentionally intimate and effortlessly informal. Wines are poured tableside, bottles remain open throughout the evening, and guests are encouraged to engage, ask questions, and explore at their own pace.
Each edition centres around a distinct theme, spotlighting producers, regions, or styles shaping the contemporary wine conversation. The inaugural private Salon, taking place in early June, focuses on modern Burgundy, with Kristina curating a line-up of sought-after producers alongside a bespoke menu of seasonal snacks and small plates created by Kostas to complement the wines.
Evenings begin with an aperitif before unfolding through a progression of five wines served communally across the table. The food pairing remains deliberately light, allowing the energy, texture, and personality of each wine to lead the experience. Select editions will also welcome guest producers, importers, and collaborators, adding further depth and perspective to the evening.
The launch of Lita Salon reflects a growing shift in modern hospitality: away from rigid fine dining conventions and towards experiences rooted in atmosphere, storytelling, and connection. Designed for both seasoned collectors and the simply wine-curious, the series offers a more relaxed, contemporary way to engage with wine culture – one centred as much on people and conversation as the bottles themselves.
