Lifestyle Group is preparing a major expansion in Malta’s hospitality sector this summer, with seven new restaurants, bars, and a luxury beach club set to open at St George’s Bay.

Among the headline openings is TATEL, the Spanish Mediterranean dining brand co-owned by footballer Cristiano Ronaldo. The concept has established itself in cities including Madrid, Ibiza, Dubai, and Riyadh, building a reputation for combining upscale dining with live entertainment and a high-profile social scene.
Also arriving is Bagatelle, the French Riviera hospitality brand known for its beach club dining and nightlife offering.
Lifestyle Group’s investment is intended to reshape St George’s Bay into a significant hospitality and leisure destination, targeting both the local market and international visitors.
Alongside the imported brands, the company is introducing four in-house concepts drawing inspiration from international cuisines.
These include TANVI, a contemporary Indian restaurant developed with Kricket founders Will Bowlby and Rik Campbell; KIRU, a Korean fusion barbecue and steakhouse concept; MATTO, an Italian dining venue aimed at families and social groups; and St George’s Pub, a British-inspired gastropub positioned on the waterfront, serving classic dishes, beer, and live sport.
Lifestyle Group chief executive Robert Debono said the development reflects broader ambitions for Malta’s international hospitality profile. “With the launch of Lifestyle Group at St George’s Bay, we are redefining Malta’s position on the global hospitality map,” he said.
The project follows Lifestyle Group’s recent move into the London market with its AKI restaurant concept and represents one of the most significant hospitality developments seen in Malta in recent years.
