“We see our team as key ambassadors for our company and the most important piece in ensuring the hotel’s success. We believe in building an authentic and caring culture as part of the wider Hyatt brand, and enjoy great retention as a result. We wish Milvas all the success in her new role.”

Burnice’ key successes over recent years include leading the launches of the Shala Beach Lounge & Maté Restaurant at Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi, & Cyan Brasserie at Andaz Capital Gate, where she spearheaded the successful repositioning of Andaz Capital Gate as one of the leading F&B destinations in Abu Dhabi.

Originally from Kenya, Burnice studied Public Relations & Marketing at Daystar University, together with Brand Communications & Advertising with a focus on Integrated Marketing Communications at the International School of Advertising. She then began her career at Villa Rosa Kempinski, a landmark of luxury in Nairobi city, where she worked for three years. In 2017, she moved to Zanzibar to join the Hyatt brand, taking the Marketing Communications Manager role at Park Hyatt Zanzibar, where she remained for two years.

Of her new role, Burnice said: “I am very excited to join the team at this iconic London hotel, which has a wonderful reputation and a unique heritage, as well as continue my career with Hyatt. I hope that I can use my extensive expertise to help drive key marketing strategies for The Churchill, while finding different ways to tell stories of not just this charming hotel, but also our passionate team that continues to deliver exceptional service.”
