The Prime Minister has been captured in a pub in Hartlepool raising a glass to celebrate the town’s new MP Jill Mortimer. Alongside her doing the same, and both without a face covering.
The photograph was featured on the twitter account of Tim Foster, Head of Being Awesome @yummypubs.
The happy couple are pictured, with a less than happy masked onlooker in the background, displaying complete disregard of all current Covid restrictions for pubs and the wider hospitality industry.
You are not allowed to drink indoors. Full stop, end of.
Fighting hard against the desire to add further detail here, there is no need to. The law of the land says that you are not allowed to drink indoors, unless, and breaking news, you are the Prime Minister or a friend of his.
If he can disregard the law and drink indoors in a pub, does that now give full license to others to follow his example?
