How Restaurant Cleaning Can Encourage Customers Back After COVID-19

How Restaurant Cleaning Can Encourage Customers Back After COVID-19

After a full year of our lives being turned upside down, it’s time to start taking steps to revert back to what we knew as normal life and with that, restaurants will now be opening once again. Despite restrictions lifting and restaurants being given the green light to open their doors, we know that many will be wondering how to encourage wary customers back. The easiest way to do this? By showing your clientele that you’re taking appropriate actions to ensure the highest level of cleanliness and safety by following a strict restaurant cleaning regime.

Don’t Stop Extra Cleaning Steps After Restrictions Lift

When restrictions lift and the world begins to discuss ‘returning to normal’, it can be a little too easy to return to your previous cleaning regime, believing it’s perfectly safe. Let’s be clear on the fact that you cannot afford to do this. Not only will we still need to remain vigilant with regards to COVID-19 and continue to put into practice our best professional cleaning methods and schedules, but customers are going to take some time to trust in public spaces. By continuing to keep up your extra cleaning policies, you’ll ultimately provide the safest space possible for returning customers.

Make Sure Your Customers Know

With regular professional cleaning services being carried out, the best thing you can do is let your customers know. Continue to alert your customers to the fact that you continually clean, around the clock. That your usual deep cleans are still more frequent than ever before and you’re taking extra precautions within the seating area also, not just behind the scenes. Let them know you’re doing what’s needed, and more, to really make them feel as safe as they possibly can.

Ensure Staff Follow Cleaning Regulations

It isn’t just management who need to keep on top of the cleaning. Make sure every person within your team is aware. Even if they aren’t involved in cleaning their ‘area’ directly, make sure they’re aware of the message you want customers to be aware of. Ensure even the front of house staff know about the heightened cleaning schedule, as they’ll undoubtedly find themselves asked on a regular basis by customers feeling concerned about entering your premises.

Get Outside Help

While we know there are ways that staff can clean up after themselves and continue to be as proactive as they can to ensure your restaurant is as clean as possible, no one will be as effective as a professional themselves. Hiring a commercial cleaning company who’ll carry out these works for you will ensure your restaurant isn’t just clean, but COVID-secure and meets health and safety regulations.
