Dan Rose-Bristow is named new Chairman of Pride of Britain Hotels

November 28, 2018

Dan Rose-Bristow, Chairman of Pride of Britain Hotels

Pride of Britain Hotels – the collection of 50 luxury independently-owned British hotels – is delighted to announce that Dan Rose–Bristow, Joint Managing Director of The Torridon, in the Scottish Highlands, has been voted in as Chairman, taking over from Kate Levin who has held the position for the last two years.

Dan has gained recognition in the hospitality industry as a Master Innholder and he is also Joint Managing Director of Pride of Britain member The Torridon, the only hotel in Scotland to win AA Scottish Hotel of the Year twice. Danhas been a board member of Pride of Britain Hotels for several years and more recently, has acted as Vice-Chairman.

With a self-imposed limit of 50 properties to guarantee quality and exclusivity, Pride of Britain Hotels’ membership continues to go from strength to strength with four new hotels accepted during the last 12 months. Admission to the group is subject to each hotel successfully passing an anonymous overnight inspection and a ballot of the membership.  All members adhere to strict guidelines, which include exceptional levels of hospitality and service.

Dan Rose–Bristow, Chairman, Pride of Britain Hotels, says: “With over 20 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, I am looking forward to the challenge ahead. Pride of Britain Hotels is a wonderful collection of hotels and it is an exciting time to be more involved, particularly as we’re heading towards capacity at 50 members.”

Peter Hancock, Chief Executive, Pride of Britain Hotels, for the past 18 years says: “We are delighted to welcome Dan Rose–Bristow as Chairman.  Dan has served on our non-executive board for several years and his experience in hospitality is perfectly suited to the role. I look forward to working closely with him over the next two years.”

Pride of Britain Hotels’ collection (never more than 50 hotels, to guarantee quality and exclusivity) proudly practises the art of great hospitality on a daily basis.
