Commencing this October, Grade II listed German Gymnasium is teaming up with Martin Whitelock of MW5 Fitness to bring a series of retro boot camp classes to North London. Available on Sunday 9th October, Sunday 6th November and Sunday 4th December, guests will take part in a high intensity interval workout, mixing modern fitness drills with old fashioned exercise equipment, before refuelling at the Grand Café, where German Gymnasium are offering 20% off brunch.
Incorporating a mix of Victorian gymnastics and old fashioned equipment, including Indian clubs, boxing and rope pulls, with modern movements such as tyre flips and bodyweight drills, the unique class offers a throwback exercise session for those looking to shake up their fitness regime. Post-workout, German Gymnasium will provide a healthy way to refuel with a selection of brunch dishes, offering 20% off to all boot camp participants. Guests can enjoy hearty dishes, such as the German Power Breakfast, consisting of Bavarian meat loaf, rosti, sauerkraut, fried egg, cheddar cheese, soft roll, or lighter options such as avocado and poached eggs and coconut and almond milk chia pots. Nourishing smoothies range from The Antioxidant, an almond, spinach, blueberry smoothie topped with apple juice, and The Full Tank with chia seeds, egg white, coconut water, avocado and raspberry.
Taking place Sunday 9th October, Sunday 6th November and Sunday 4th December at German Gymnasium, Martin Whitelock’s MW5 Fitness session will connect with the restaurant’s sporting roots to offer a new way to work out followed by the ideal way to refuel.
