With less than a month to enter the British Pie Awards, producers from across the country have been entering their pastry creations in the hopes of winning a renowned pie award. Entries have been coming in from Scotland, Devon, Wales, Kent and the Midlands to name but a few. This year there has even been an entry from a company in the Netherlands, as the awards build their reputation across the globe.
Fully sponsored
The British Pie Awards has also secured an impressive 30 sponsors in record-breaking time ahead of this year’s world-renowned event on April 22.
The annual awards, which are held in the Leicestershire town of Melton Mowbray, are now in the seventh year – and both sponsors and entrants have been keen to get in on the action earlier than ever before. Entries for the awards opened in November 2014 and, a mere twelve weeks later, every class had a sponsor – for the first time in the award’s history.
Entries from 100+ of the finest pie makers
The British Pie Awards typically brings together more than 100 of the country’s finest pie makers who enter their best creations in the hopes of winning gold. This year’s top tasting judges, who will together feast their way through 20 classes, include TV chef Andy Bates, food critic Charles Campion and food writer Rachel Green.
There’s still time to enter!
Entries for the awards, which are open to pie producers of all shapes and sizes, close on April 3, 2015.
