Producers of the ‘World’s Best Vodka’, Chase Distillery, are giving their customers the fine taste of marmalade with their latest creation.
The Marmalade Vodka is made by marinating fine English marmalade preserve with Chase Potato Vodka (voted the World’s Best Vodka at the San Francisco World Spirit Competition 2010) and infusing it with fresh Seville orange peel in their bespoke Alembic (‘Alambic’) copper pot still.
Declared to be delicious by connoisseurs of fine spirits, Chase Marmalade Vodka is clear with a slight golden hue. It exudes zesty oranges aromas and has a naturally rich bitter-sweet flavour and a warm velvety mouth feel. It makes for a luxurious Breakfast Martini or is refreshing simply sipped neat over ice.
Nigel Sandals, Category Buying Manager for Liquor at World Duty Free comments: “We have been selling Chase’s award winning vodka for the past year and it has been extremely well received by our customers. This quirky new product was launched exclusively in Heathrow’s T5 and supported with in-store sampling, to allow our customers to experience it for themselves. Wherever possible we like to support smaller suppliers and Chase Distillery is a great example of this”.
Created by Chase Distillery owner and Herefordshire-based entrepreneur, William Chase, Chase Marmalade Vodka was first produced as a limited edition last year. It proved so successful and sought after that Mr Chase decided to make it a permanent feature of the Chase Distillery product portfolio.
“We’re overwhelmed by how popular our Marmalade vodka is. We’ve had waiting lists! There’s a real love for it both with bar-tenders and consumers. We’re thrilled to be spreading the best of British abroad and World Duty Free’s store in LHR T5 is a perfect platform this.” said Mr Chase.
In 2008 William Chase launched Chase Distillery, turning potatoes and apples grown on his farm into premium vodka, gin and liqueurs, all of which have been well received in World Duty Free over the past year. Chase Vodka was the first product to be released and has since been voted the World’s Best. It has nationwide listings in high end stores such as; Waitrose, Harvey Nichols and Selfridges, as well as specialist independent retailers and prestigious hotels such as Fortnum & Mason, Daylsford Organics, Claridges and The Savoy. Williams Gin ‘the world’s most complicated’ is fast catching up with its older sibling, being the second core product to be released, and having already achieved similar listings. Its uniqueness comes from the fact it is made from apples by turning apples into cider, cider into vodka and that vodka into gin. Not only this, the apples are grown (organically) on Chase’s farm to give you a gin with true provenance, perfect for the discerning connoisseurs or for the ultimate British Gin and Tonic.
