The Anchor Inn, Ugborough, to be sold on the instructions of the fixed charge receivers.
Christie + Co has been appointed to handle the sale of the Anchor Inn in Ugborough by Jon Gershinson FRICS and Louisa Brooks MRICS of Allsop LLP, acting as joint fixed charge receivers.
The Anchor Inn is in Ugborough, a small, picturesque village in South Hams, approximately three miles from Ivybridge, four miles equidistant between Modbury and South Brent and fourteen miles east of Plymouth. The town of Ivybridge provides good road and rail links along the A38 to Plymouth to the west as well as the regional capital of Exeter and from there to the M5.
The pub retains some original features including wooden beams, exposed stone walls and briefly comprises: lounge bar, restaurant/function room, commercial kitchen and ancillary storage on the ground floor, with four-bedroom owner’s accommodation on the first floor. At the rear of the property there are five en suite letting bedrooms, a beer garden, courtyard parking, a former garage and a barn.
Jon Clyne, Associate Director at Christie + Co’s Exeter Office, comments: “The Anchor Inn represents a rare opportunity to acquire a freehold public house in what is a lovely village location. The pub has the added benefit of letting accommodation as well as a seasonal boost from holiday makers who visit this beautiful part of south Devon.”
The freehold of The Anchor Inn is available off a guide price of £275,000 and Christie + Co expects significant interest.
