JENKI opens its ninth London matcha bar today, Thursday 5 November 2026, in Paternoster Square, near St Paul’s Cathedral, continuing the brand’s expansion across the capital.

The new location introduces a more focused bar format designed primarily for takeaway customers, particularly commuters and office workers in the City of London.
Situated behind St Paul’s Cathedral, the site also features an indoor perching ledge and outdoor seating overlooking the landmark, providing space for customers who wish to enjoy their drinks on site.
The matcha bar has been designed by Studio Rain Wu, with interiors drawing inspiration from the Baroque architecture of St Paul’s Cathedral.
An illuminated domed ceiling references the cathedral’s architectural features, while dark wood detailing and electric blue backlit acrylic take inspiration from its vaulted ceilings and stained-glass windows.
Stainless steel elements and poured concrete flooring provide a contemporary finish to the interior.
Today’s opening follows JENKI’s recent launches in Soho and Liverpool Street, with the business continuing to expand its network of dedicated matcha bars across London.
A further opening is planned for Marylebone later in November, extending the brand’s presence within the capital’s business, retail and residential districts.
Otto Boyer, Co-founder of JENKI, said:
“Paternoster Square is a brilliant location for JENKI, right in the heart of the City. We wanted to create a bar that fits naturally into people’s working days, making it easy to enjoy freshly whisked matcha even when time is limited. With St Paul’s Cathedral right on our doorstep, it’s a really special setting for our ninth London bar.”
The new St Paul’s location forms part of JENKI’s wider expansion across the capital, with the brand developing its estate to cater for customers seeking freshly prepared matcha drinks.
The opening also reflects the growing presence of specialist matcha bars within London’s hospitality sector, particularly in areas with high concentrations of office workers and commuters.
JENKI’s new matcha bar opens today in Paternoster Square, with the planned Marylebone opening set to follow later this month.
