Kimpton Grand Roatán Resort & Spa, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ luxury and lifestyle portfolio, announces today the appointment of Salvador Casasola Cruz as Executive Sous Chef. A proactive and highly organized culinary leader, Chef Casasola Cruz will play a vital role in managing the resort’s diverse dining venues and driving operational excellence.

With over 10 years of experience across luxury restaurants and hospitality offerings, Casasola Cruz has built a reputation as a dynamic kitchen leader with expertise in cross-functional collaboration and business optimization. Most recently, he served as Executive Sous Chef at the prestigious Soho House Mexico City, where he directed kitchen operations, managed departmental budgets, and led the professional development of the culinary team. His international perspective is shaped by a tenure at the Michelin-starred Restaurante Casa Solla in Spain, as well as leadership roles at notable properties including Hotel Amatte in San Miguel de Allende, Andaz Papagayo in Costa Rica, and the Thompson Zihuatanejo.

Known for his logical problem-solving and dedication to quality control, Casasola Cruz has consistently elevated the standards of the world-class establishments he has served. As Executive Sous Chef of Kimpton Grand Roatán Resort & Spa, Casasola Cruz will oversee the daily management and operations of the resort’s four dining outlets. He will work closely with the executive team on menu engineering and the refinement of the resort’s signature experiences, including the rotating Guest Chef Series and the annual Roatan Food & Wine Festival.
