Hyatt Hotels Corporation and Portuguese real estate developer Coporgest have announced plans to develop Park Hyatt Comporta and Park Hyatt Comporta Residences, with an opening expected in 2029.
The project will mark the Park Hyatt brand’s debut in Portugal and extend Hyatt’s luxury presence in Europe.
Located in Comporta in Portugal’s Alentejo region, the development will be within an hour of Lisbon’s Humberto Delgado Airport and will combine hotel accommodation with private villas and branded residences.
Current plans for Park Hyatt Comporta include 58 guestrooms and suites, six two-bedroom private villas and 22 residences, with owners and residents having access to the hotel’s services and facilities.
The resort is also expected to feature swimming pools, a wellness space, fitness centre, padel court, children’s club and a collection of restaurants.
Park Hyatt Comporta will be located adjacent to Troia Golf Course and within a 20-minute journey of four additional courses.
The 18-hole, par-72 Troia Golf Course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and is positioned alongside the coast with views towards the Arrábida Mountains.

The property will join Park Hyatt hotels operating in European destinations including Paris, London, Milan, Vienna, Zurich, Marrakech and Istanbul.

Park Hyatt Comporta Residences will comprise six villas and 22 apartments available for private ownership and integrated into the hotel’s operations.
Owners will have access to the services, amenities and management associated with Park Hyatt alongside their privately owned accommodation.

Within the wider Comporta Beach Resort development, a further 31 luxury villas and 49 apartments will form the Luxury Beach Residences by Coporgest.
These properties will be marketed and operated by Coporgest and will also provide owners with access to services and amenities at Park Hyatt Comporta.
The signing comes as Park Hyatt continues to expand its international portfolio.
Further planned openings include Park Hyatt Phu Quoc and Park Hyatt Riviera Maya in 2026, followed by Park Hyatt Mexico City, Park Hyatt Vancouver and Park Hyatt Taormina in 2027.
Park Hyatt Comporta and Park Hyatt Comporta Residences are expected to open in 2029.
