Chaiiwala has opened its second Bristol café at 171 Gloucester Road as the Indian street food brand continues to expand across the UK.
The new location opened on 27 August and follows Chaiiwala’s existing Bristol café on Stapleton Road.
The Gloucester Road site is operated by franchise partners Zahid and Imran, who also run the brand’s first Bristol location and its Cardiff café.
Founded in Leicester in 2015, Chaiiwala now operates more than 120 UK sites across high streets, drive-thrus, travel hubs and other high-footfall locations.
The Bristol café will serve the brand’s full menu, including its signature Karak chaii, which is brewed on site using a blend of seven spices. Chaiiwala says more than 100 million cups have been sold to date.
The food offer includes Wala Wraps, Bombay Bowls and Toasties alongside breakfast and brunch dishes.
More recent additions to the menu include The Wala Box and Family Platter, extending the offer across individual and group dining occasions.
The opening forms part of Chaiiwala’s strategy to build greater density within established towns and cities while continuing to explore alternative formats and locations.
The company is targeting 500 locations globally over the next 10 years.
