The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort has announced the appointment of Harish Gopalakrishnan as General Manager.

The appointment marks a new chapter for the wellness-led island resort, which is set within the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve of Baa Atoll.
Gopalakrishnan brings more than two decades of hospitality experience across India and the Middle East.
His expertise spans hotel operations, strategic leadership, guest experience and commercial performance.
He joins The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort following his most recent role as General Manager of The Westin Goa.
The appointment marks his second leadership role within the Westin brand.
Across his career, Gopalakrishnan has held senior roles in prominent hospitality markets and Marriott International properties.
His previous positions include Deputy General Manager at Grosvenor House, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Dubai, and Multi-Property General Manager at Courtyard by Marriott Kochi Airport and Port Muziris, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel.
His leadership approach is rooted in operational excellence, team empowerment and creating meaningful guest experiences that reflect the character of each destination.
In his new role, Gopalakrishnan will oversee the resort’s overall strategy, operations and continued growth.
He will also focus on further strengthening The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort’s positioning as a leading wellbeing destination in the Maldives.
Working closely with the resort’s leadership team, he will support guest satisfaction, brand programming and performance across all areas of the business.

“Having led The Westin Goa, I have developed a deep appreciation for the brand’s commitment to empowering guests to move well, eat well, and sleep well, even while traveling.”
