The Sportsman Arms in Redditch has officially relaunched following a combined investment of £130,000 from experienced licensees Jo and Tony Wade and Admiral Taverns.

The refurbishment has breathed new life into the popular community pub, elevating and modernising its overall look and feel while helping further cement its position as a go-to local hub.
Internally, the pub has been refurbished with new fixtures and fittings throughout.
The games area now includes a new dartboard, while the snug area has also been updated.
The pub also features five flatscreen televisions showing Sky and TNT Sports for customers to enjoy.
Externally, The Sportsman Arms has been refreshed with new lighting and signage, an updated smoking area and festoon lighting designed to create a warm and inviting atmosphere outside.
Licensees Jo and Tony Wade bring a wealth of knowledge and hospitality experience to the pub.
Going forward, they are committed to creating a dog and family-friendly venue that brings people together and supports community life.
Jo and Tony Wade, licensees at The Sportsman Arms, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled with how the refurbishment came along — the transformation has been truly significant. Every detail has been carefully considered to ensure that The Sportsman Arms feels fresh and exciting, while still retaining the warmth and character that makes this place so special for the community.
“We have loved every minute of our time at The Sportsman Arms so far and I would like to thank everyone, from Nigel and Robin, our family and friends, our customers and of course the team at Admiral Taverns, for all their ongoing support. We look forward to everything the future holds for this fantastic community pub!”
The Sportsman Arms will host a busy schedule of regular entertainment, including live music on Saturday evenings.
The licensees are also looking into setting up a darts league team.
As part of their commitment to giving back to the local community, Jo and Tony will also host regular fundraising events and community initiatives for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The pub offers a wide range of drinks, including Guinness, Carling, Thatcher’s Gold and more.
The Sportsman Arms is owned by Admiral Taverns, the UK community pub company with around 1,365 pubs across England, Scotland and Wales.
Matt Obrey, Business Development Manager at Admiral Taverns, added: “It has been an absolute pleasure working alongside Jo, Wade, Nigel and Robin throughout this refurbishment journey. Watching their vision come to life has been incredibly rewarding.
“On behalf of myself and everyone at Admiral Taverns, I wish Jo, Wade, Nigel and Robin and the entire team at The Sportsman Arms the best of luck in the future.”
