Beach House Blackpool Launches Big New Flavours for Little Foodies

July 23, 2026

Beach House Blackpool has launched a new Children’s Menu designed to offer bolder flavours for younger diners.

The beachfront restaurant and bar is aiming to challenge the traditional view of children’s menus by offering dishes inspired by the fresh, sunshine flavours of the Mediterranean.

To mark the launch, Beach House Blackpool invited a group of young food critics, aged from one to twelve, to a special tasting event.

The young diners and their families sampled dishes created by Executive Chef Adam Green, including smoked salmon sushi, lemon and herb king prawn skewers, chimichurri chicken sliders, grilled fillet steaks and watermelon, feta and tomato salad.

The menu was served alongside colourful fruit-packed mocktails with lemonade shots.

The restaurant said the new menu reflects a shift in children’s tastes, with more young diners now becoming confident and curious about different flavours.

Beach House Blackpool pointed to families travelling abroad, food-focused television, social media and home cooking as factors influencing how children engage with food.

Research from organisations including the Food Standards Agency and Nesta also suggests children can be more willing to try different foods when exposed to a wider variety of ingredients from an early age.

Beach House Blackpool said this challenges the outdated idea that children’s menus should only feature a small selection of familiar options.

The new menu has been created to appeal to adventurous young diners while still keeping popular classics available.

Homemade pizzas, mini fish and chips and crispy chicken goujons remain on the menu.

Each dish is made from scratch using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, giving the restaurant’s family favourites a Beach House twist.

Beach House owners Hagop and Cheryl Tchobanian said: “Children’s tastes have evolved enormously.

“Many of our younger guests have travelled across Europe, sampled different cuisines on family holidays and are far more adventurous than children’s menus often give them credit for.

“We wanted to create a menu that reflects the way families eat today and offer fresh, colourful, exciting food that everyone can enjoy.

“Whether it’s introducing someone to their very first king prawn skewer, encouraging them to try chimichurri, or simply serving the best homemade pizza in town, every plate receives the same care, creativity and quality as the dishes on our adult menu.”

The launch comes at a time when attitudes towards children’s dining are shifting across the hospitality industry.

Beach House Blackpool said many children’s menus in UK restaurants remain dominated by fried foods and limited healthier options, while chefs and nutrition experts continue to encourage restaurants to offer smaller portions of high-quality dishes.

The new menu has been designed to support broader, more adventurous palates while keeping family dining accessible and enjoyable.
