Harry Fitton returns to Hyatt Regency and Hyatt House Manchester hotels in a senior leadership role, having originally been part of the property’s pre-opening team in 2019. He went on to join Andaz London Liverpool Street, where he was promoted and named Manager of the Year in 2022 for his outstanding leadership and team results, before becoming Head of Hotel Operations at Ty Milford Waterfront in Wales, overseeing a team of more than 60.

In his new role, Fitton will oversee all operational departments across both hotels, focusing on guest experience, team development and service standards.

“Coming back feels very special, and it’s a privilege to return in this role. I want every guest experience to feel effortless while continuing to develop our teams and uphold the standards the hotel is known for.”

With more than a decade of hospitality sales experience across the Manchester market, Rachael Askem joins from Hilton Manchester Deansgate where she led corporate, group and MICE business and secured major conference and corporate agreements.

Her career also includes roles with King Street Townhouse and Discover the World, managing UK and Ireland MICE accounts for more than 150 international hotels and building long standing agency and corporate relationships. At Hyatt Hotels Manchester, Askem will oversee delivery of the commercial strategy across the leisure, entertainment, long-stay and meetings and events segments, while developing the sales team.

“Manchester is a city built on relationships, and hospitality is ultimately about people,” says Askem. “I’m excited to grow our presence in the events and leisure sectors while showcasing both the hotel and the city to new audiences.”

Assumpta McDonald, Cluster General Manager said: “Having Harry return to Hyatt Hotels Manchester, where he began his career in hospitality, reflects our belief in valuing and investing in people, and in giving them the opportunity to build meaningful careers. Rachael brings a strong understanding of the Manchester market and the relationships that matter. Together they add experience, warmth and perspective that will continue to shape the hotels’ role within this remarkable city.”
