This year, there Lord Mayor is working with Hotel School who provide training in the hospitality industry to those who have experienced homelessness. On Tuesday, he hosted a breakfast networking event at the prestigious Fortnum and Mason flagship store on Piccadilly where industry leads could meet students on the Hotel School course and see their work in practice.

The Lord Mayor of Westminster, Cllr Dimoldenberg said: “The networking breakfast is an example of what can be achieved when the hospitality sector and charities work hand in hand. I am hugely grateful to Fortnum and Mason for hosting today’s event and their willingness to give Hotel School the opportunity to showcase the impact they can have. Hotel School’s work is so important in empowering people within hospitality and create new pathways into work that were not previously available.”
Dana Hallam Hotel School’s Employment and Progression Manager said: “It was fantastic to see such a strong turnout of senior hospitality leaders. Everyone is incredibly busy, so the fact that they took the time to listen to our graduate and me, Craig, speaks volumes. It shows a genuine commitment to finding meaningful ways to support people who face barriers to employment.”
“Fortnum & Mason were exceptional hosts. From the delicious breakfast to the fascinating tour, every detail was thoughtfully delivered. I left with a real sense of community and shared purpose, and feeling truly supported.”
