Chaiiwala, the UK’s leading Indian street food café brand, is delighted to announce plans to open its newest high‑street café in Woking, located at 3 Chobham Road, in April. The café will be its second location in Surrey.

Founded in Leicester in 2015, Chaiiwala is known for its authentic and carefully brewed Karak chaii and unique, high-quality street food bursting with traditional flavours. The brand offers a delicious and unique alternative at various mealtimes – from breakfast roti wraps in the morning to Wala wraps and Toasties throughout the day as well as indulgent sweet treats. All meals are made with premium and traditional ingredients and based on closely guarded recipes inspired by Indian home cooking.
The new café in Woking will serve Chaiiwala’s full menu, including fresh, accessible and high‑protein dishes that cater to a wide variety of tastes and mealtimes. World-class Karak chaii, which is a daily ritual for consumers across South East Asia, is a cornerstone of Chaiiwala’s proposition. Every day, it brews its tea with a secret blend of seven spices, which is served alongside other tea and coffee-based beverages.
The Woking café will be the latest opening by franchisees Aadil and Usman, who are one of the brand’s leading franchised partners. After starting initially as a delivery driver, Aadil has today grown to operate more than a dozen successful Chaiiwala locations with his business partner Usman, reflecting Chaiiwala’s dedication to supporting ambitious entrepreneurs.
As demand for high‑quality, accessible Indian cuisine grows, Chaiiwala is executing an ambitious strategy to reach 500 global locations within the next 10 years, with a strong focus on expanding across the UK. This will include strengthening its footprint in existing towns and cities or expanding into new areas of the country where the brand is yet to establish a significant presence – like Surrey.
Sohail Ali, Co-Founder of Chaiiwala, said: “Woking is a really exciting new opening for us. It not only brings our brand into a high-traffic, commuter town with locals demanding high-quality food-on-the-go, but it also opens us up to a new audience of consumers who may not yet know our brand. This presents a meaningful opportunity for us to introduce new consumers to our unique all-day street food menu and world-famous Karak chaii, build brand loyalty, and get a step closer to Chaiiwala becoming a household name.
“Aadil is exactly the kind of franchisee that makes Chaiiwala the brand it is today – his journey from delivery driver to operating more than a dozen stores is inspiring. He is an excellent example of what our franchisees, supported by our Franchisee Committee, can achieve, and we are very proud to continue growing with him. We look forward to sharing more about our plans for the store soon.”
