BM Announces Foodies 2026 Winners with Ben Schobs Taking ED&I Award for Flagship Neurodiversity Work

BM has announced the winners of its 2026 Foodies awards, with the Gregory Hall Equity, Diversity & Inclusion award presented to Ben Schobs in recognition of his work supporting inclusion initiatives across the business.

Schobs was recognised for his work on equity, diversity and inclusion projects, including initiatives to support neurodiversity in the workplace and improving access to inclusion resources for teams and the wider industry.

The Foodies awards recognise individuals and teams across BM’s operations in categories including food, people, innovation, customer service and operational support.

In the Fundamentally Food category, Alicia Munoz from a client site in Trafford was recognised for her work on seasonal menu development and the launch of a Viva la Pasta pop-up concept.

Dorrianne Casey, BM’s coaching, learning and development manager received the Obsessive About Our People award for her work developing innovative learning and development programmes.
Darren Dimenna, an account manager in the Northern region, received the Open and Honest award, while catering manager, Pam Willis from Newcastle received the Dedicated To Our Customers award.

In the innovation category, Meng-Hsuan Lin was recognised for her work creating food concept communications.

Matt Petit received the Entrepreneurial award for his efforts to drive BM’s ESG activity in the kitchen by introducing new waste management techniques, and Tom McDonough received the Support You Can Trust award for his consistent dedication to his team and the wider BM business.

Murray Soper, head of people & talent and Richard Hodgson, BM auditor and project manager were both presented with Founders awards by BM founder, Wendy Bartlett, MBE.

Angus Brydon, managing director, BM, said: “The Foodies awards recognise the work taking place our teams in food, service, innovation and support functions. These awards reflect the contribution our people make to the business and to our clients every day.

“As a business, we have always stayed true to our principles and do whatever we can to ensure that these are lived and delivered every day. These awards show that we are fortunate to have some of the most committed and talented people in our sector.”
