Accor, a world-leading hospitality group, and EXTENDAM, a leading European private equity firm specialising in hotels investments, announced today the signing of an agreement to open a 209-room new construction hotel in Paris’ Python-Duvernois redevelopment project in the 20th arrondissement.

Expected to open in 2028, the hotel will be operated by Accor under the TRIBE brand and will be part of a low-carbon mixed-use development of over 100,000 sq.m, combining residential units, offices, retail spaces, upgraded public facilities and a new 3.3-hectare park. The redevelopment aligns with the City of Paris’ ambitions for urban renewal and will also include a 10,000 sq.m ‘City of Sports’ extension of the existing Louis Lumière sports center.
TRIBE hotels celebrate the bold, the diverse and the intelligently designed, providing everything guests need and nothing they don’t. Designed for modern travellers, TRIBE combines comfort, style and seamless integration into its local environment with stylish, functional spaces and a social hub that brings design and conviviality together. A testament to its appeal to both partners and clients, TRIBE will open its 10th address in France in 2026, including destinations in Paris, Le Touquet, Lyon, Carcassonne, Montpellier and Reims.
The project will feature low-carbon design, use of locally sourced materials, reversible spaces, connection to the urban heating network, as well as a green rooftop and biodiversity shelters. In line with both Accor and EXTENDAM’s sustainability commitments, the hotel aims to achieve the BREEAM Excellent certification through the implementation of rigorous measures to reduce environmental impact.
Philippe Bijaoui, Chief Development Officer Accor, Premium, Midscale & Economy, Europe & North Africa, said: “This project is particularly close to our heart as it fully embodies Accor’s vision of more sustainable and responsible hospitality. With low-carbon construction credentials, it reflects our commitment to reducing the environmental footprint of the hotel industry. Our brand TRIBE will illustrate that well. With modern amenities and vibrant social spaces open to its neighborhood, this hotel will be much more than a place to stay, it will actively contribute to its entire local ecosystem.”
Led by EXTENDAM, alongside Banque des Territoires, Étoile du Nord Foncière, Caisse d’Épargne Normandie Immobilier Durable and Banque Populaire Val de France, the project has been secured through an off-plan development agreement (VEFA) with Linkcity (Bouygues Group). The new hotel will mark EXTENDAM‘s fourth TRIBE property, reaffirming the firm and Accor’s mutual commitment for hotel developments that combine operational performance, environmental responsibility and community relevance.
Cécile Leclerc and Alexandre Guérin, Head of ESG and Investment Manager at EXTENDAM commented: “Hotel demand in Paris remains robust, against a backdrop of structurally constrained supply and limited transaction volumes. This project represents a rare opportunity to expand local lodging capacity while supporting the district’s demographic and economic momentum. It fully aligns with our responsible hotel investment approach and our environmental, social and governance (ESG) strategy. We are also delighted to further strengthen our partnership with Accor through this landmark development.”
