New British Bistro to Open in Beaconsfield

February 25, 2026

A new British neighbourhood restaurant, The Old Town Bistro, will open in Beaconsfield this Spring, offering classic British food in a relaxed and informal setting.

The restaurant is owned and run by local restaurateurs Daniel Crump and Margriet Vandezande-Crump, who also operate the multi-award-winning The Greyhound in Beaconsfield, located nearby.

The Old Town Bistro focuses on traditional British food, served in a comfortable space designed for everyday dining with friends and family.

The restaurant will offer weekend breakfast, lunch and dinner from Wednesday to Saturday, and Sunday roasts.

The aim is to provide a place where local residents can meet for a range of occasions, from midweek lunches to family meals and weekend gatherings.

“We wanted to open somewhere that fits into daily life in Beaconsfield,” said Daniel Crump. “It’s a place people can come to regularly, knowing they’ll get good food and a friendly welcome.”

Margriet Vandezande-Crump added: “Our focus is on traditional British cooking and straightforward service. We want people to feel comfortable coming in whether they’re meeting friends, having a business lunch, eating with family, or stopping by after work.”

Drawing on their experience at The Greyhound, Daniel and Margriet have developed the bistro with an emphasis on working with local suppliers and partners.

The menu will feature familiar British dishes such as rib-eye steak with peppercorn sauce; fish & chips with mushy peas and curry sauce; , chicken, asparagus and tarragon pie and a special OTB Sundae.

Located in Beaconsfield Old Town, The Old Town Bistro is intended to serve as a local meeting place for residents and visitors alike.
