Houston & Hawkes Funds 50,000 School Breakfasts

February 3, 2026

Catering News Sponsored by Ditsch UK

Independent B Corp caterer Houston & Hawkes has funded 50,000 school breakfasts through its partnership with Magic Breakfast since partnering with the charity in January 2024, supporting children across the UK who are at risk of starting the school day hungry.

Magic Breakfast provides nutritious breakfasts to schoolchildren in need, helping to improve their concentration, wellbeing and learning. Pupils receive items such as bagels, bread, porridge and milk, which are provided through a variety of formats, including breakfast clubs and grab-and-go options.

The partnership with Magic Breakfast forms a core part of Houston & Hawkes’ commitment to social value and community impact. The funding comes from a mix of direct donations by Houston & Hawkes through a coffee contribution scheme as well as funds raised through workplace engagement initiatives across client sites. Global real estate consultancy Knight Frank is among those supporting the initiative, contributing to 1,476 breakfasts since partnering with Houston & Hawkes at the beginning of 2025.

Following a special event to mark the first year of its work with Houston & Hawkes, Sarah Dawson, Partner at Knight Frank, said: “Our partnership is delivering strong progress in areas that matter to us. The Magic Breakfast initiative is a great example of how workplace services can support our people while also delivering meaningful impact beyond our organisation.”

Simon Houston, Co-founder of Houston & Hawkes, said: “As a caterer, we completely understand the role food can play in people’s health and wellbeing. Partnering with Magic Breakfast allows us to support a cause that aligns closely with our values. We’re determined to build on this milestone and, working with our clients, aim to fund a further 30,000 school breakfasts by the end of 2026.”

Ali Roberts, Head of Corporate Partnerships at Magic Breakfast, added: “Magic Breakfast is delighted to be working with Houston & Hawkes. With the incredible fundraising efforts from their team, we’ve been able to provide 50,000 breakfasts for children and young people at risk of starting their day hungry. A nourishing breakfast helps ensure that children and young people have the fuel they need to learn and thrive. Thank you to the whole team at Houston & Hawkes, your support is so appreciated.”
