Ardent Pub Group Achieves B Corp Certification

February 20, 2026

Pub & Bar News Sponsored by Ditsch UK

Ardent Pub Group (Ardent) has achieved B Corp certification, recognising its commitment to high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. Founded in 2021, Ardent is only the second UK pub group to achieve B Corp status, and is the highest scoring hospitality group in the UK.

Operating three acclaimed and celebrated London pubs: The George in Fitzrovia, The Cadogan Arms in Chelsea and The Hound in Chiswick, each venue is rooted in its local community, combining modern British cooking with thoughtful hospitality.

Central to Ardent’s B Corp accreditation is its commitment to charitable partnerships across the portfolio, donating nearly £100,000 to charitable and community causes since inception. The George supports mental health charity Shout, a free and confidential 24/7 UK text messaging service, on initiatives across the year including No Shave November and fundraising quizzes. The Hound partners with Polytechnic FC to champion grassroots sport and local participation, with sponsorship providing new kits to mark the 150th year anniversary and the launch of their first event women’s team, whilst The Cadogan Arms partners with the Kensington & Chelsea Foundation to support initiatives addressing inequality, poverty and social gaps within the borough.

Ardent’s commitment to excellence has also been recognised across the industry. The Cadogan Arms ranked 40th in the Top 50 Gastropubs 2024, while The George debuted at number 91 in the Top 50 – 100 Gastropubs list. In November 2024, Ardent was named Food-Led Pub Group of the Year at the R200 Awards. Ardent was also named in CODE Hospitality’s 2025 ‘Happiest Places to Work’ list.

Commenting on the achievement, Founder and Managing Director Dominic Jacobs says: ‘Achieving B Corp certification is a milestone and hugely proud moment for me and for the entire Ardent team. Becoming B Corp certified reflects the values we have built the business on from day one – from supporting our communities and teams to operating responsibly and with purpose’

The B Corp accreditation follows the recent acquisition of Ardent Pub Group through a private investment round led by Founder and Managing Director, Dominic Jacobs. Ardent will move forward in this exciting next phase of growth, targeting eight new openings across London and beyond in the next 3 – 5 years.
