Seven Dials Market Kicks Off 2026 with Three New Food Openings, Including London’s First Tortilla Bar

January 12, 2026

From Hong Kong to Mexico with a detour via the Basque Country – Seven Dials Market by KERB is starting the new year with a bang by welcoming THREE new traders later this month (Friday 30 January).

First up is HOKO, a contemporary all-day Hong Kong café that’s built a loyal following on Brick Lane (including many members of KERB’s Shoreditch office). Initially beginning as a specialist in Hong Kong Milk Tea back in 2021, HOKO has since evolved into a fully-fledged diner, as well as launching a successful 2024 wonton noodle soup pop-up in Soho.

Now, at Seven Dials Market, HOKO will bring their signature bowls of steaming wonton soups to a permanent location. These nostalgic bowls feature springy egg noodles seasoned with a rich dried flounder (essentially fish seasoning!). Then comes the chicken and pork broth, topped with delicate hand-wrapped wontons (prawn and pork, beef brisket and tendon, or tofu and king oyster mushroom) and finished with yellow chives. Instantly recognisable to Hong Kongers everywhere – and quickly becoming popular with Londoners.

Next is Bask Street Boys – newcomers who’ve been on a mission to bring Basque cuisine to the forefront of London’s street food scene since graduating from KERB’s inKERBator programme in 2024. Known on KERB’s markets for their Taloas (handmade cornflour galettes), they’ve developed a brand-new offering exclusive to Seven Dials Market: London’s first tortillas bar.

Expect a menu of Spanish tortillas loaded with distinctly Basque ingredients such as Txistorra (a paprika-spiced pork sausage from Spain’s Basque Country), alongside a rotating selection of Pintxos, cold cuts, cheeses and gildas skewers of olives, anchovies, and guindilla peppers).

Finally, it’s Masa Tacos – a family-run business blending traditional Mexican recipes with seasonal British produce. First spotted by KERB’s food team at a Clapham market in 2023, Masa has gone from strength to strength ever since. Starting out slinging tacos under a gazebo, they quickly expanded to a fully-fledged taco truck and most recently completed a residency at Corner Corner in Canada Water.

Expect house-made tortillas crafted from Mexican heirloom corn, filled with slow-cooked barbacoa beef, grilled chicken, portobello mushrooms and other rotating specials. While tacos take centre stage, the menu also features equally satisfying burritos and nourishing rice bowls.

KERB opened Seven Dials Market in 2019 and now serves up to 30,000 hungry customers every week. The line-up is regularly refreshed, ensuring that more small businesses are given the opportunity to grow and develop in a lower-risk environment, before often opening their own bricks and mortar. And if that’s not reason enough to visit Covent Garden, KERB also commits a percentage of its profits to its social enterprise, KERB+, supporting people from less-advantaged backgrounds to start their own street food businesses or find employment within the hospitality industry.
