Certification recognises community impact, mission-locked governance, and a culture of trust.

Dinner Ladies is proud to announce it has officially been certified as a B Corporation, joining a global movement of businesses that meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability alongside a commitment to goals beyond shareholder value.
Dinner Ladies achieved a B Impact Score of 102.6, significantly exceeding the qualification threshold of 80 and well above the ordinary business median of 50.9. This places Dinner Ladies in a top-tier category of B Corps, reinforcing its position as a business built on impact, not just compliance.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to share we are now officially a B Corp! Attaining such a prestigious certification means the world to us and reflects our defining commitment to people and planet. We’re really proud of the score we achieved, it validates the commitments which have always been core to how we operate. Food as a force for positive change
Dinner Ladies believes deeply in the power of food to create positive change and is on a mission to help transform Sustainability within London’s hospitality and catering scene. This certification reinforces Dinner Ladies’ commitment to continuously measuring its impact, setting ambitious targets, and growing a greener, more ethical catering business. Sustainability is embedded throughout its Operations, from the ingredients it sources to how food is delivered.
Dinner Ladies works with seasonal, locally sourced ingredients and partners with suppliers who share its values. Core menus include lower carbon footprint vegan and vegetarian options, alongside thoughtful operational choices such as reusable and compostable packaging and zero-emissions delivery via an electric van, ensuring every event catered is as sustainable as it is delightful.
Community impact at the core
With a score of 43.3, Dinner Ladies’ strongest performance area was Community. Central to this is Sharing Plates, an initiative which formalises the company’s commitment to giving back, alongside it’s standing commitment to donate 5% or more of its time to pro-bono service. In partnership with The Felix Project, the initiative repurposes surplus and donated ingredients into high-quality, nutritious meals for Londoners affected by homelessness, delivered locally in partnership with Streets Kitchen. In 2025 alone, Sharing Plates helped deliver over 1000 meals to some of London’s most vulnerable. For every event booked clients are offered the opportunity to contribute either a one-off £150 donation which feeds 25 people, or opt for a 1 for 1 donation at £4 per head, donating one meal for every guest at their event.
Driving cultural change in Hospitality
In an industry often associated with insecure and precarious employment, Dinner Ladies achieved a Workers score of 24.3, highlighting the company’s strong focus on financial security and transparency for its employees. Dinner Ladies are proud to be a Living Wage Foundation accredited employer and pay the London Living Wage to 100% of their core London team.
Dinner Ladies also scored strongly in Governance (18.0), including 10 points for Mission Lock. By amending its Articles of Association, the company has legally committed its directors to consider the interests of people, planet, and profit in every decision. This means the company’s values are not just cultural commitments, but legally protected and formally written into company DNA.
Chris Turner, executive director of B Lab UK, says: “We are pleased to have B Corps of all shapes and sizes as part of our community – from startups to multinationals and across many different industries. Welcoming Dinner Ladies to the B Corp community is hugely exciting. Its commitment to doing business differently will be an inspiration to others and will help spread the notion that success in business is as much about people and planet as it is profit.”
