Fitzroy Kimpton London, a highly valued member of Accessible Hospitality Alliance, has appointed Kofi Jeffers as its Access Champion, further embedding inclusion into its culture and everyday operations.
Kofi is Security Manager at Fitzroy Kimpton London and a passionate advocate for accessibility and inclusion.
The Access Champion position, pioneered by Robin Sheppard, Co-Founder and Chair of Accessible Hospitality Alliance, is intentionally straightforward:
One person takes ownership of accessibility.
Not just the physical environment.
Not just compliance.
But the lived experience of all colleagues and guests.
This is not a checklist role. It is a listening role. It is a connecting role. It is a role for someone who carries the voices of others into decision making.

An Access Champion can emerge from any department and any role. General management, kitchens, front office, engineering, finance, or marketing. What matters is awareness. Not authority, but empathy. The ability to hear challenges, surface ideas, and influence progress.
Access Champions uncover barriers others may not see. They help turn intention into practice. They help turn practice into culture. Slowly and steadily, they remove the invisible edges that exclude.
Kofi Jeffers said of accepting the role: “Becoming an Access Champion has been a truly rewarding experience. I entered security and hospitality to support and serve our guests, but this role has given me the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in how we create exceptional experiences for everyone. Representing Kimpton, an organization that values continuous growth and inclusive hospitality, has been an honor. I’m proud to contribute to a future where accessible service isn’t just an option, but the gold standard of guest care.”

Charlotte Evans, Group Partnerships Director, Accessible Hospitality Alliance, welcomed the appointment, saying: “I am delighted that Kofi Jeffers has been appointed Kimpton Fitzroy London’s Access Champion and Ambassador for Accessible Hospitality Alliance.
“With his kindness and commitment to inclusivity and accessibility, it’s fantastic to see him working hard with the team to ensure that all our guests receive the same welcome, service and experience during their stay.”
Alongside becoming Access Champion, Kofi has also been appointed an Ambassador of Accessible Hospitality Alliance, joining a growing group of industry professionals working together to deliver Accessible Hospitality Alliance’s purpose: a hospitality world that welcomes everyone.
The Accessible Hospitality Alliance community is expanding, not only in the number of Champions and Ambassadors, but in commitment, collaboration, and real world change.
