German Doner Kebab (GDK) is accelerating its UK growth with the opening of four new restaurants this December, unveiling new sites in Clydebank, Bournemouth, Romford and Leytonstone. The openings follow a strong year of growth for the QSR brand, which recently surpassed its 150th UK location and continues to build momentum across major high streets, retail parks and neighbourhood destinations.

The new Clydebank restaurant, open now and located on Britannia Way within Clydebank Retail Park, sits among popular retail and leisure destinations and will benefit from steady footfall from local residents, workers and students.
Opening last week was Bournemouth’s very first GDK. The new restaurant is located at the Royal London House building, a highly prominent corner unit fronting a busy roundabout, and brings the brand’s bold, flavour-packed kebabs to Bournemouth for the very first time. It is perfectly placed to serve the wide mix of locals, students, commuters, and day-trippers who make the town such a vibrant and lively destination.
In East London and Essex, GDK will open two new restaurants tomorrow, Tuesday 23 December, with the Leytonstone site launching on High Road just steps from Leytonstone Underground Station, and a new Romford restaurant opening on South Street, one of the town’s busiest and most visible high-street locations. Positioned within lively retail and dining parades, the two sites will cater to a diverse mix of families, professionals, students, shoppers, commuters and office workers, further strengthening the dining offer at the heart of both communities.
Across all four openings, guests can expect GDK’s bold, flavour-packed menu featuring premium meats, crisp locally sourced salads, signature sauces and the brand’s iconic toasted sesame waffle bread. Freshly prepared to order and 100% halal, the menu offers a modern, elevated take on a much-loved classic and continues to set a new standard for fast-casual dining.
Simon Wallis, GDK CEO, said: “Clydebank, Bournemouth, Romford and Leytonstone are all fantastic locations with a strong sense of community. We’re excited to continue our rapid growth across the UK and introduce even more people to our fresh take on a much-loved favourite. As we continue our rapid growth across the UK, after recently surpassing our 150th store this year, openings like these are powerful markers of the momentum behind the GDK brand. We’re incredibly proud of how far we’ve come, and we’d like to extend a special thanks to our hard-working team across the country. As well as a huge congratulations to our franchise partners – their drive and dedication have been central to our journey and success. We look forward to introducing these locations to Kebabs. Done Right.”
