Zuma, the globally celebrated contemporary Japanese restaurant brand with over 25 locations worldwide, will debut in Switzerland this December 2025 with an exclusive pop-up in the prestigious Alpine resort of Gstaad.

From 5th December 2025 to 15th March 2026, Zuma will take over the restaurant, bar, and winterised terrace at the luxurious Ultima Gstaad, a five-star boutique hotel. Marking its first move into the Swiss market, Zuma Gstaad promises to deliver an elevated après-ski dining and nightlife experience, blending signature Japanese cuisine with a dynamic atmosphere and breathtaking mountain views.
The space at Ultima Gstaad will be reimagined through the Japanese aesthetic principle of Shakkei – or “borrowed scenery” – integrating the surrounding Alpine landscape into Zuma’s contemporary design language. The transformation will reflect the brand’s signature style while embracing the natural beauty and energy of Gstaad.
Guests can enjoy Zuma’s full à la carte offering, including signature dishes such as spicy beef tenderloin with sesame, red chilli and sweet soy, alongside freshly prepared nigiri and sashimi. For a more private experience, Zuma will also offer in-chalet private dining, perfect for those looking to enjoy a post-ski Japanese whisky sour followed by a personalised feast in the comfort of their own residency. The opening of Zuma Gstaad is Zuma’s first pop-up in partnership with Ultima Gstaad.
