Storrs Hall launches Proposal Packages to make 2026 question-popping easy

November 1, 2025

Storrs Hall, which stands on the shores of England’s largest lake, has launched a range of new Proposal Packages to make popping the question easy and memorable in 2026.

The Grade II listed Georgian mansion, which boasts arguably the best setting in the Lake District – along with majestic views over Windermere – now offers a series of three thoughtful Proposal Packages which cost from just £125 and are available in conjunction with any overnight stay.

The Simply Timeless package sets the scene for a proposal in the hotel’s iconic Temple of Heroes which sits out over the water with breathtaking views. The Temple is dressed with chairs, blankets and a hamper containing a single rose in a choice of colours, a bottle of Joseph Perrier Champagne and a box of chocolates.

The Unmissable package can be taken in guests’ bedroom of choice – including Storrs Halls luxurious Lakeside Hot Tub Suites and its Boathouse which has its own private gated terrace and lake access. The scene is set with 10 helium balloons complete with guests’ favourite photographs tied to the ribbons, a bottle of Joseph Perrier Champagne, a bouquet of seasonal flowers, a heart-shaped box of chocolates, LED tea lights and a board displayed with a personalised message on an easel decorated with foliage.

The Grand Gesture package can be experienced in guests’ chosen bedroom for the night, or in the beautiful Garden Pavillion with its filigree metalwork and festoon lights, dressed with chairs and blankets, and includes scattered rose petals, a bottle of Joseph Perrier Rose, a dozen roses, LED tealights, a personalised message board decorated with foliage and a hamper of strawberries, marshmallows and dipping sauces.

Proposers seeking even more luxury can choose to add the experience of a private two-hour skippered cruise on Storrs Hall’s exquisitely handcrafted vintage Thames slipper launch, complete with prosecco and a picnic if desired.
