Lodestone House has secured a five-year contract extension with Bishop’s Stortford College, an independent co-educational day and boarding school for 3-18-year-olds in Hertfordshire.

The renewed partnership, which first began in December 2020, will see Lodestone House continue to cater for the college’s 1,250 pupils, including providing daily breakfast, dinner, and snacks for the 200 boarders, along with catering for evening events throughout the year.

Lodestone House has also worked closely with Bishop’s Stortford College on the concept, design, and menu for their latest on-campus dining option, The Ferguson Café. Renovated over the summer holidays, the café is open to pupils, staff, and families, serving a selection of freshly brewed hot drinks, breakfast foods, sandwiches, healthy salads and pasta pots, and more.

The leading independent caterer will continue to implement its new Garden, Kitchen, Classroom ethos across Bishop’s Stortford College, championing fresh British seasonal ingredients while feeding the curiosity and learning of pupils. Nutrition and education sit at the heart of Lodestone House’s philosophy, with an emphasis on wholefoods, wholegrains and scratch cooking across the menus, ensuring that the food pupils eat helps them achieve their true potential.

Noelle Jones, Managing Director at Lodestone House, said: “We are delighted to be extending our partnership with Bishop’s Stortford College. Over the years, we’ve worked closely together to create a dining experience that reflects the school’s values and supports pupil wellbeing. The Ferguson Café is the latest evolution of that collaboration – a vibrant space designed with the school community in mind, offering fresh, seasonal food that’s both delicious and nourishing. Through our Garden, Kitchen, Classroom ethos, we’re proud to continue delivering high-quality meals and meaningful food education that enriches daily school life.”

Emma Tumelty, Director of Operations and Commercial, Bishops Stortford College, said, “We’re really pleased to be extending our partnership with Lodestone House. Over recent years, they have demonstrated a real step change in the quality of both food and delivery, which has had a significant impact on the overall pupil experience. Their focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients, and engaging food concepts has brought real energy and creativity to our dining offer, and we’re excited to continue building on that success together.”
