School catering specialist, Olive Dining, is proud to be supporting this year’s British Food Fortnight – the annual campaign created by not-for-profit organisation, Love British Food.

Now in its 24th year, British Food Fortnight is the focal point of Love British Food’s activities and celebrates the diverse and delicious food produced by our nation. Considered one of the most established awareness events in the hospitality and catering sector, hundreds of schools, universities, pubs, restaurants, shops, hospitals and even care homes have taken part in the campaign over the years.
From 26th September to 12th October 2025, Olive Dining will be promoting a number of activities and events across the schools they work with, each designed to teach students about the food grown and produced in the local community.
Last week, to mark the start of British Food Fortnight, Olive Dining co-founders Stephanie Spratt and Chris Whitter visited one of their local suppliers, Watts Farm in Kent, showcasing their longstanding commitment to supporting British agriculture and sustainable sourcing.
Olive Dining will also be running a competition for students to win a British food hamper, as well as a special Love British Food themed menu on Tuesday 30th September across a number of primary and secondary schools in London and the South East – featuring dishes such as ‘farmers favourite’ cottage pie, bangers and mash, roast Tandoori chicken, sticky toffee pudding and ‘autumn orchard’ crumble.
Based around the theme of ‘Strengthening the roots that bind us’, this year’s British Food Fortnight is built around three key pillars: Grow British, Cook British and Champion British – designed to encourage businesses to promote British sourced produce on their menus, support local producers and offer a culinary experience that highlights the UK’s heritage.
Stephanie Spratt, co-founder and CEO of Olive Dining, said: “We are delighted to be taking part in this year’s British Food Fortnight and supporting such an important cause created by such an inspiring organisation.
“At Olive Dining, our mission has always been to provide children and young people with nutritious, healthy food whilst supporting British farmers and produce, so getting involved in this campaign was a no-brainer. Each of the activities and events we’ve created have been designed to educate and excite young people about the importance of local produce, sustainability and the heritage of British farming.
“Not only is British Food Fortnight a fantastic way to educate students about where their food comes from but also a great opportunity to bring communities together through shared dining experiences, offering homegrown dishes using seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.”
