Makkar Spearheads Commercial Transformation
Makkar’s appointment marks a significant milestone in L+R Hotels’ commercial restructure, bringing exceptional expertise with luxury lifestyle brand launches. She has spearheaded the successful UK debuts of three major international brands: Principal Hotels, Standard Hotels, and Virgin Hotels.
With nearly two decades of experience in revenue management and commercial leadership, Amrita brings a proven track record of driving performance through data-led strategy and cross-functional collaboration. She joins following her impactful tenure at Virgin Hotels, where she was instrumental in launching the brand’s first Scottish properties and establishing its commercial footprint in a competitive market. In her new role, Amrita will lead the development and execution of commercial strategies across the portfolio, supporting L+R Hotels’ continued growth and innovation in the luxury and lifestyle segments.

D’Antoni Strengthens North American Market Presence
Joining Makkar is Philip D’Antoni as Director of Sales, North America bringing over 20 years of luxury hospitality experience across Travel Industry, Corporate, Group and Entertainment & Sports segments. Most recently, Philip was VP of Sales at Reuben Brothers’ in the hospitality asset management team of RB Capital. Based in New York, D’Antoni’s impressive track record includes instrumental roles at EDITION Hotels, where he spearheaded the global brand sales strategy for its luxury lifestyle portfolio. His extensive background in global sales, and leisure, entertainment and corporate network, makes him a valuable addition to the L+R Hotels team.
