A Tale of Two Floors: Daly’s Reopens as ‘Daly’s Wine Bar & Beer Hall

October 1, 2025

The much-loved wine bar Daly’s on The Strand, opposite the Courts of Justice, has reopened its doors as Daly’s Wine Bar & Beer Hall following a complete makeover. From fine wines to craft beers, from wine bar elegance to beer hall energy, Daly’s now offers two distinct experiences across two floors – find a space to match your mood or occasion.

The Wine Bar

Blending contemporary style with timeless charm, Daly’s Wine Bar serves up an exceptional wine list curated by Berkmann Wine Cellar and features a vast array of vintages by the glass, bottle and magnum, from the accessible Bodega Norton Finca La Colonia Colección Malbec and Vinho Verde Anjos from Portugal through to the Cellar Reserve Collection featuring the likes of Macán Clásico Rioja by Rothschild Vega Sicilia. Sparkling options are also on offer from the likes of British vineyard Nyetimber and Champagne house Veuve Clicquot whilst an extensive list of liqueurs, cocktails and non-alcoholic options will also be available.

Head Chef Tahreem Hossain’s menu offers elevated British comfort favourites that pair perfectly with glasses of crisp whites or full-bodied reds. Choose from sharer style snacks such as prawn and duck fat rillettes, Cobble Lane charcuterie boards and artisanal British cheese boards to prime cut Oxfordshire steaks and elevated pub classics.

Just a short stroll from Temple Station, the wine bar is perfectly placed for after-work drinks, weekend celebrations, or spontaneous catchups. There are cosy corners for romantic trysts and larger tables for friends whilst the private Court Room can accommodate up to 30 seated guests or 50 standing.

The Beer Hall

Downstairs discover the Beer Hall, a lively and buzzing City of London bar that’s all about great beer and good times combined with darts, sport and delicious food. From hoppy IPAs like Beavertown Neck Oil and Deya’s Magazine Cover to crisp lagers such as Asahi and the unique Jubel Peach Lager, there’s an impressive 16 beers on draft with every pint perfectly poured. Food is also no afterthought featuring dialled-up crowd pleasing snacks and comfort dishes. Choices include giant pretzels and sausage swirls with honey and mustard, loaded short rib nachos, pulled lamb croquettes as well as a Cheddar rarebit and grilled chorizo with guindilla chilli.
