The Adria London: 15% RevPAR Growth with HotelPartner

The Adria, London, turned to HotelPartner Revenue Management to raise its profile and update its revenue management strategy.

Located in the heart of South Kensington, close to the Royal Albert Hall, The Adria is an exclusive traditional Victorian townhouse, recently renovated with an opulent design. This renovation, which updated this elegant 19th-century residence, was the trigger for overhauling the property’s approach to revenue management.

Dominik Feller, The Adria’s GM, said: “We were not too happy with how we were trading after we reopened and wanted something to bring us into the current day and age with technology, dynamic pricing and the more up-to-date approaches to revenue management.”

Since HotelPartner came on board, we have had a 15% increase in revpar, year on year. “What really made a difference for us was having [revenue performance manager] Ylenia [Ficalora] coming on board and she really brought us to the next level, because she knows the London market and is also well connected throughout the industry.”

“Ylenia helped us to open up new channels and brought in a lot of technical knowledge that we were lacking. We’re a very small property, so we don’t have a revenue manager on site. When it comes to the ins and outs of booking engines and other related technology, HotelPartner integrates with Opera, so there is a lot of automation. But there are also things where we just don’t have the on- site expertise and for those we have Ylenia.”

“The Adria is unique when it comes to what we do and how we do it. We are a member of The Leading Hotel of the World, but we don’t have extensive marketing resources that some of the other hotels have, which can mean it’s sometimes a bit more difficult to sell. The product itself is stunning and overall guest satisfaction is the best I’ve had in any hotels where I have worked. But it can be hard to get good visibility.”

“Before HotelPartner, everything was manual and I think we lost a lot of opportunities because of that. Now it’s all very easy. A lot of things I can see or do myself, I don’t need to worry. I can look around if I want, make changes. But everything I do is also supported by the HotelPartner team, who do a lot of the legwork and save me a lot of time in the process.”
