Prezzo Italian Unveils New Employee Benefits

September 2, 2025

Prezzo Italian has launched a refreshed suite of employee benefits designed to reward excellence, enhance team experience and celebrate the Italian culture at the heart of the brand.

As part of the scheme, the operator is offering a unique holiday perk: any team member who chooses to holiday in Italy will receive 10% extra annual leave for their trip. The initiative is designed to immerse the Prezzo Italian family in the culture, food, and hospitality of Italy, experiences that directly inspire innovation and fresh ideas back at work.

These new initiatives form a key part of Prezzo Italian’s wider repositioning and turnaround strategy, as the business prepares to open new locations and refurbish existing ones. By retaining the best team members and attracting new talent to fuel growth, Prezzo Italian is investing in the people who will help drive its future success.

James Brown, CEO of Prezzo Italian, said: “At Prezzo Italian, we believe our people are our most important ingredient. By giving our teams more opportunities to experience Italy, we strengthen their connection to the brand and bring that authenticity back into our restaurants.”

In addition, two new schemes have been launched to reward quality and service excellence across the business:

Head Chef Quality Certification Scheme

A new three-level certification programme – Bronze, Silver, and Gold – will recognise and reward head chefs for consistently delivering high quality and delicious food.

  • Bronze: £100 Amazon vouchers
  • Silver: 25p increase on hourly wage
  • Gold: £1 increase on hourly wage
  • Certifications will be based on adherence to food specifications, handling standards, and execution quality, monitored through AI-powered assessments of online reviews and social media
  • sentiment in partnership with Sentiment Search.

Mystery Guest Excellence Bonus

Prezzo Italian’s new mystery dining partner will visit every restaurant twice per month. Any location achieving an average score of 92% or above over four visits will trigger:
A £250 one-off bonus for the General Manager, Assistant Manager, and Head Chef.

A £250 shared bonus for the servers who looked after those tables.

Each quarter, the single highest-scoring restaurant will see the GM, AM, Head Chef, and servers share an additional £1,000 reward.

With no limit on how many restaurants can qualify, the scheme is designed to inspire consistency, celebrate best-in-class service, and ultimately enhance guest satisfaction and drive repeat visits.

James added: “We are building an organisation that rewards excellence and celebrates our people. These new benefits put a spotlight on quality, service, and passion, the foundations of customer happiness and food excellence. As we grow, refurbish, and open new restaurants, this is how we ensure the very best talent wants to build their future with Prezzo Italian.”

The scheme follows the success of the overall brand revitalisation which began in May this year. Since then, the team announced it will be ramping up investments in 2026. It now plans to refurbish 40 extra locations, on top of the 15 scheduled for 2025.
