This October, a new art deco-inspired cocktail bar will open on the 14th floor of art’otel Battersea, set to elevate London’s cocktail scene. Pérola – meaning ‘pearl’ in Portuguese, will open its doors on 1 October bringing a playful yet refined approach to mixology, set against the iconic backdrop of Battersea Power Station and sweeping views of London’s skyline.

Led by Bar Manager Michela Castiglioni (previously of Soho’s Disrepute and Fazenda), Pérola reimagines the cocktail experience through storytelling, artefacts, and artistry. The bar’s signature menu draws inspiration from 14 unique artefacts from all over the world, with each cocktail designed to embody a story, culture, or emotion. Guests can expect unexpected flavour combinations and elevated craftsmanship, with creations designed to surprise and delight.
Signature serves include Atinkythera, a blend of Olive Oil washed Renais Gin, Oregano Mastiha, Caper, Lemon and Cucumber; The Sun Stone crafted with Altos Blanco Tequila, Ojo De Dios Mezcal, Vetiver Liqueur, Mango and Black Pepper Cordial and topped with Soda; and the Faberge Eggs an elegant mix of Absolut Elyx, Cacao Blanc, Mint, Maple Verjus and Telmont Brut Reserve finished with Orange Foam. An extensive wine list will also be on offer alongside a selection of non-alcoholic cocktails.
The elevated interiors, designed by Russell Sage Studios, will now feature a striking hand-painted mural by artist Ansley Randall adorning the ceiling of the seating area as guests enter the bar adding an additional layer of artistry and storytelling to the space. Guests can expect a versatile and inviting atmosphere, with plush low lounge seating for intimate drinks, high tables for lively gatherings, and floor-to-ceiling glass windows framing panoramic views of London
The vibrant space will also feature a cultural programme of live Latin jazz, funk and DJ sets throughout the week, as well as a curated menu of bar snacks from the JOIA kitchen. Designed to echo the creativity and storytelling of the drinks, the food menu features flavour-led small plates that are perfect for sharing. Dishes include the likes of Seabass Ceviche with Green Gazpacho and Citrus Mango Gel, as well as a selection of seasonal Iberian-inspired plates.
Of the new opening, Michela adds “I’m delighted to be leading the bar team for the launch of Pérola this Autumn. Working closely with the art’otel team to design the menu and shape an elevated bar experience has been an exciting process. We’ve poured passion and creativity into every detail, and I can’t wait to bring our vision to life. Our goal is to serve bold, innovative drinks that capture the story and spirit behind Pérola, all within a warm and vibrant atmosphere that makes every guest feel at home.”
