Middlesbrough’s Linthorpe Road was the place to be last weekend as Burger Drop officially opened, serving more than 1,000 burgers to excited customers both dining in and taking their orders to go. From early Friday evening, eager fans queued outside the restaurant to get their hands on free and half-price burgers, creating an electric atmosphere reminiscent of the brand’s previous openings across the UK.
The first 50 customers on Friday received a free burger, while everyone else enjoyed 50% off their order of choice. From precision-smashed patties to loaded fries and made-to-order blended shakes, the restaurant delivered on every craving. Many fans also chose to take out, enjoying the full Burger Drop experience all over Middlesbrough in the brand’s eye-catching, signature takeaway boxes.
Middlesbrough Franchisee, said: “The turnout for our launch night was incredible! Seeing the queues, packed tables and so many people taking their Burger Drop experience around town made our opening weekend unforgettable. Serving over 1,000 burgers really shows how enthusiastic Middlesbrough is about our menu.”
The Middlesbrough site, at 176 Linthorpe Road, marks the brand’s seventh UK location, joining Newcastle, Whitley Bay, Sunderland, Manchester and Edinburgh, with more sites planned as part of Burger Drop’s national expansion.
