Mandarin Oriental, Marrakech 10 Year Anniversary

September 19, 2025

Mandarin Oriental, Marrakech is delighted to introduce “10 Days for 10 Years”, a programme of unique culinary experiences, bespoke wellness, community purpose and cultural events from 24 September to 4 October 2025.

Set across 20 hectares of landscaped grounds and opened in October 2015, Mandarin Oriental, Marrakech is a contemporary, fragrant oasis with majestic views of the Atlas Mountains and located just minutes away from the Medina and Marrakech’s key landmarks.

Over the past ten years, Mandarin Oriental, Marrakech has grown into an intimate haven surrounded by timeless beauty. Every detail and experience is thoughtfully considered. As well as regular recognition in Forbes Travel Guide, recent awards reflecting the resort’s success include Morocco’s Best Resort Spa in 2023 and 2024 (World Spa Awards), Morocco’s Leading Resort in 2023 (World Travel Awards) and a top 10 placement in Condé Nast Traveler 2024 Northern Africa Readers’ Choice Awards.

10 Days for 10 Years

The programme has been curated to salute the Red City with a season featuring chef residencies, performance at M.O Studio, visiting wellness practitioners and purpose-led community moments. As Alain Thomas Briere, General Manager at Mandarin Oriental, Marrakech, explains: “Marking 10 years in Marrakech is, above all, a thank you to our guests, our colleagues and our city. This season blends a global outlook with deep respect for Moroccan traditions. We look forward to welcoming friends, old and new, as we begin the next chapter of crafting moments that stay with you long after you leave.”

Unique culinary experiences with the Chef’s Series

At the Pool Garden, Michelin-starred Chef José Avillez will take over the restaurant from 24-28 September, ending with a brunch celebration with a performance of synchronized water dancers on 28 September. Chef Hind Nebgane will launch a Moroccan menu using local products, spices and ancestral tradition at Shirvan starting on 26 September. The Tent will host Don Julio Hacienda from 30 September for six months. And at Ling Ling by Hakkasan from 2-4 October, Chef Nicky Tan will create a menu of vibrant flavours and modern Cantonese luxury.

Bespoke wellness at The Spa

Two signature wellness treatments created in partnership with marocMaroc will be available from 24 September-4 October. Guests may also discover specialist experiences offered by three wellness therapists in residence from 24 September-4 October. Simona Pahontu, ranked amongst the Top 5 in the prestigious Facialist World Championship, is acclaimed for her manual facelifting and intraoral massage techniques to stimulate collagen, sculpt contours and create a luminous glow. Aisha Barzaghi combines breathwork, movement and alignment for deep restoration, vitality and balance. While Spencer Chen, visiting therapist from Mandarin Oriental, Beijing, uses Chinese therapeutic traditions with modern precision, and offers sound healing and Thai massage to improve mind–body wellbeing.

Community and culture

Throughout this anniversary year, proceeds from the sale of the resort’s beloved mascot Itto the Goat plush toy, available in our suites and villas, will benefit Education for All. A charity run, 10 times around the resort, will raise funds for the same cause on 11 October, transforming each step into a commitment to change. Enthusiasts of sports and lifestyle will find even more ways to stay active, with the resort’s launch of its state-of-the-art tennis and padel courts.

The first harvest from the resort’s own olive trees will provide limited edition olive oil, and pure honey will be made from the blossom of our resort gardens. Another limited edition will be offered at the resort’s boutique, created in collaboration with Moroccan lifestyle brand Chabi Chic to mark Mandarin Oriental’s 10-year celebration with bespoke stoneware.
