Sustainability is at the heart of the partnership. St John’s became the first church in the Diocese of Southwark to achieve Gold Eco Church status by A Rocha in 2023. Eden, winner of the 2024 Sustainability Award for Caterers at the London Venue and Catering Awards and shortlisted again for 2025, has earned multiple accolades for its responsible, climate conscious approach.
Following a landmark £5.5m restoration in 2022, the Grade II* listed church just off the South Bank has been transformed into a vibrant centre for events and the arts. Alongside versatile meeting rooms, rehearsal studios and flexible event spaces, its stunning Nave performance hall hosts an acclaimed year round music programme. From charity conferences and workshops to team away days, rehearsals and community gatherings, St John’s is thriving as a hub of creativity, collaboration and social impact.
Eden’s locally based team will now provide exceptional, sustainable catering for the wide range of groups using the venue, helping St John’s welcome even more organisations and events into its spaces. Already, Eden has successfully catered for several events at St John’s, receiving enthusiastic feedback for the quality, presentation and freshness of its food. With a team that knows the venue’s layout, facilities and flow inside out, Eden is ideally placed to deliver a seamless service for clients.
