The Coniston Hotel Appoints New General Manager to Elevate Guest Experience

The Coniston Hotel Country Estate & Spa is delighted to announce the appointment of Tim O’Sullivan as its new General Manager, marking a significant step in the estate’s continued evolution as one of Yorkshire’s leading destinations. With more than 25 years of experience in the UK hospitality sector, Tim brings with him an exceptional track record of operational leadership, strategic growth, and a passion for creating unforgettable guest experiences.

His appointment marks a step change for The Coniston as it embarks on a journey to build on its success and further elevate its guest offering, raising the bar for hospitality in the region. In his new role, O’Sullivan will lead the team in enhancing the diverse range of estate-led experiences including the award-winning Nàdarra Spa, curated on-site activities, and exceptional dining.

By utilising brand partners, elevating on-site experiences and championing Yorkshire cuisine, O’Sullivan is committed to recapturing the vibrant energy that celebrates all Yorkshire has to offer. With rooms to suit every need, a variety of on-site activities, from a Land Rover off roading experience and clay pigeon shooting to archery and fishing, along with a choice of three restaurants, O’Sullivan will lead on The Coniston’s efforts to further establish itself as the ultimate one stop destination in the Yorkshire Dales.

Commenting on his new role, O’Sullivan said, “I’m thrilled to be joining The Coniston at such a pivotal moment. The estate has a truly unique proposition, from its award-winning spa and breathtaking landscape to its dynamic hospitality and activity offering. Most recently, O’Sullivan served as General Manager of the award-winning Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa, and prior to that, he led Rookery Hall Hotel & Spa, where he oversaw a major refurbishment and launched a new dining concept. His people-first leadership style, paired with a focus on operational excellence, aligns perfectly with The Coniston’s vision for the future.
