Education catering specialist Olive Dining is thrilled to have been named as a finalist at both the Lloyds British Business Excellence Awards and the Foodservice Cateys 2025.

Having been shortlisted for ‘Mid-Market Business of the Year’ and ‘Education Caterer of the Year’ respectively, the Surrey based caterer has further cemented its reputation of enhancing pupils’ lives through the provision of tasty, freshly prepared and wholesome meals in schools.
Founded by Stephanie Spratt and Chris Whitter in 2010, Olive Dining is a family-run business that provides bespoke, solution-led catering services to primary and secondary schools in and around London and the South East.
As the UK’s largest and most prestigious business awards programme, the Lloyds British Business Excellence Awards champion sustainability, diversity and equality, celebrating the ‘cream of the crop’ across all industries. Similarly, the Foodservice Cateys – created by The Caterer 12 years ago – honours the individuals and businesses shaping the foodservice industry by building memorable experiences and supporting their colleagues to succeed.

Stephanie Spratt, co-founder and CEO of Olive Dining, said: “The last 12 months have been super exciting for us as a business – from preventing over 1,000 nutritious school meals a month from going to waste, avoiding almost 12,000kg of carbon emissions and donating more than 9,000 food items to over 500 families – we have successfully upheld our ongoing mission to support a healthier planet for future generations.
“The entire team at Olive Dining are committed to reducing the impact of our operations on the environment through minimising waste, reducing carbon emissions, sourcing responsibly and educating young people on sustainable food practices, so to be recognised for our achievements within these areas is a testament to the values we work so hard to maintain. We’re delighted to be shortlisted amongst so many other great businesses and we wish everyone the best of luck on the night.”
Having recently been shortlisted for the Family Business Entrepreneur of the Year Award at this year’s Great British Entrepreneur Awards (GBEA), Stephanie Spratt co-founded Olive Dining with Chris Whitter after identifying a gap in the market for a catering service with a flexible and proactive approach to managing food services with a large emphasis on customers, employees and nutrition.
Olive Dining now operates across over 150 sites and is underpinned by a team of enthusiastic foodies who take great pride in creating and offering bespoke menus to hundreds of schools across the UK.
All winners will be announced at the Lloyds British Business Excellence Awards ceremony on 11th November and the Foodservice Cateys awards ceremony on 10th October 2025.
