Beyond Green Welcomes 10 New and Returning Members

August 9, 2025

Beyond Green, a global portfolio of some of the planet’s most sustainable accommodations, is pleased to announce the addition of ten new and returning member properties between April 1 and June 30, 2025. This considered and strategic expansion marks the brand’s continued growth, including its first-ever properties in Sweden and Mozambique.

Since its launch in 2021 by Preferred Travel Group, Beyond Green has steadily expanded its global footprint. Each member is required to meet over 100 sustainability indicators aligned with international standards and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Leveraging its collective resources and community, the brand fosters mutual impact—uniting valuable perspectives to scale meaningful, positive change.

Following collaborative discussions and a renewed commitment to shared values during Beyond Green’s inaugural Leadership Summit, the brand proudly welcomes back three founding members:

  • Vermejo, a Ted Turner Reserve
  • Blancaneaux Lodge
  • Turtle Inn, part of The Family Coppola Hideaways

Their return underscores the power of a united approach to sustainable tourism and the continued commitment to a more responsible, regenerative future for travel.

Leadership Perspectives

“Rejoining Beyond Green feels like coming home to a shared purpose,” said Jade McBride, President of Ted Turner Reserves. “We’re excited to learn from fellow members who are pushing boundaries in regenerative travel and to share what we’ve learned over decades of private land conservation. Being part of this community elevates us all.”

“We are thrilled to be part of the Beyond Green community once again. Being surrounded by like-minded hospitality leaders who share our values helps us grow and evolve,” said Martin Krediet, General Manager of Turtle Inn. “We look forward to learning from fellow members and exchanging ideas we can adapt within our own organisation.”

New and Returning Member Properties

Villa Dahlia (Stockholm, Sweden)

Opened in September 2024, Villa Dahlia blends craftsmanship with sustainability, offering 103 light-filled guestrooms and suites. The property holds a BREEAM In-Use “Excellent” rating, featuring energy-efficient architecture, water-saving fixtures, refillable amenities, and a linen-reuse program. Its dining emphasizes locally sourced, seasonal produce, supporting regional farmers and reducing food miles. Villa Dahlia also supports local causes, including the Childhood Foundation and Stockholm LGBT, ensuring its luxury operations leave a positive legacy.

Blancaneaux Lodge (Blancaneaux, Belize)

Nestled in the Mountain Pine Ridge Reserve, this 20-room eco-luxury retreat was originally restored by Francis Ford Coppola as a private hideaway. The lodge uses locally sourced materials, natural ventilation, native landscaping, and a hydroelectric plant for most of its energy. Community support includes full academic scholarships, reserve clean-up campaigns, and food security donations. On-site eco-tours and plastic-free operations highlight its long-standing conservation ethos.
Note: Will be live on the Beyond Green website in the coming weeks.

Turtle Inn (Placencia, Belize)

Located on a narrow 26-mile-long peninsula, Turtle Inn features 25 thatched cottages with handcrafted furnishings. The property supports local initiatives such as the End of the World Marathon, funding scholarships for Belizean youth, and contributes to conservation programs protecting the Belize Barrier Reef UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Note: Will be live on the Beyond Green website in the coming weeks.

Vermejo, a Ted Turner Reserve (Raton, New Mexico, USA)

Spanning 550,000 acres of private wilderness, Vermejo offers a national park–like escape with diverse accommodations, outdoor dining, spa services, and immersive nature experiences. Its sustainability mission focuses on wildlife restoration and ecosystem regeneration, including the reintroduction of American bison and Rio Grande cutthroat trout. Guests can participate in hands-on conservation activities such as riverbank restoration and bison tracking.
