Aramark UK’s Government Services team has proudly completed its 25th consecutive year delivering catering and hospitality at the world-renowned Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, cementing its role as a trusted partner to the UK’s Defence Infrastructure Organisation.

Staged against the iconic backdrop of Edinburgh Castle, the 2025 Tattoo marked the 75th anniversary of the annual event, which drew almost 220,000 live spectators and reached audiences in more than 30 countries through broadcast. Throughout the month of August, Aramark UK provided seamless foodservice operations for military personnel, international performers, dignitaries, and guests.

From daily service for the Royal Military Police, Guard of Honour, Drill Team, and Massed Pipes and Drums, to hosting high-profile occasions including a luncheon for the Lord Provost of Edinburgh and Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, Aramark UK delivered this unique event with trademark precision, professionalism, and pride.

The scale and precision of delivery included:

  • 10,528 meals served across Redford, Dreghorn, and Glencorse Barracks
  • 1,000 goodie bags showcasing Scottish favourite suppliers
  • 12 Royal Gallery buffets
  • 11 Salute Takers dinners

This year’s Tattoo brought together global talent, including Switzerland’s Top Secret Drum Corps, the Orchestra of Naval Forces of Ukraine, and the US Air Force Honour Guard Drill Team, each supported by Aramark’s experienced service teams.

Glyn Ingram, Managing Director, Government Services, Aramark UK commented: Supporting the Tattoo is always a highlight of our year, and this summer was no exception. It’s a privilege to play a part in such a globally celebrated event, and doing so for the 25th year running fills us with immense pride. The scale and pace of operations are intense, but our teams rise to the occasion with energy, precision, and heart. Their dedication is what makes this partnership such a success, year after year.”

Lieutenant Colonel Si Thompson MC added: “Aramark navigated the month of August, our busiest period, with such seamless efficiency. They looked after numerous, fast paced, events day in and day out, without fault.

“Their attention to detail and positive outlook is the sign of a well-oiled machine. My gratitude for everyone, both front and back of house, cannot be understated.”
