A New Chapter for Grand Pacific: A Culinary Renaissance Begins

August 10, 2025

This Autumn marks the beginning of a reimagined Grand Pacific, as the iconic Manchester restaurant unveils a refreshed dining concept rooted in British heritage and refined with modern sophistication.

To celebrate this transformation, guests are invited to visit Grand Pacific as an exclusive first look from the 8th – 20th September 2025 and enjoy 50% off a la carte dining*.

Steeped in history and nestled in the heart of the city, Grand Pacific’s listed Manchester building is set in the 19th Century Liberal Reform Club’s original dining room, where politicians, bankers, lawyers and professionals of all kinds gathered. It also played host to a defining moment in British political history with Winston Churchill’s rousing election victory speech in 1906.

The decadent Manchester restaurant has become renowned for its unique dining offering, opulent interiors and impeccable service, taking inspiration from some of the most iconic venues across the globe.

Grand Pacific will be reborn as a modern dining room, celebrating the rich tapestry of British gastronomy and presenting nostalgic and elevated classics. The new menu will focus on locally sourced ingredients, with each dish elevated through contemporary technique and precision and a wine list that highlights both old and new world favourites.

Highlights from the new menu include Confit Duck leg Bon Bons with black garlic and burnt blood orange aioli and a Trio of Jersey ‘Rockafella’ Oysters. Starters range from charred Calabrian prawns with garlic and scorched lemon butter to the indulgent Grand Pacific Scotch Egg with bacon jam and celeriac remoulade and a classic hand-chopped steak tartare.

Mains include whole roasted Cornish lemon sole with brown shrimp and samphire, grilled lobster thermidor and Lakeland lamb Provençal with roasted shoulder, lamb merguez and seasonal vegetables. To finish, desserts such as the nostalgic Manchester Trifle with Vimto jelly or a flambéed Crêpe Suzette served tableside offer a suitably theatrical end to the experience.
