The Wigmore, the modern British gastropub located at The Langham and overseen by Michel Roux, proudly launches its third Toastie Takeover series, honouring the now-iconic XXL Stovetop 3 Cheese & Mustard Toastie. A staple since The Wigmore opened in 2017, the series invites acclaimed chefs to reinvent the toastie in true gastropub style.

Launching the series on 1 August is Bradley Cacela, the new Head Chef at Tom Kerridge’s The Coach in Marlow. Bradley’s indulgent toastie combines slow-cooked beef shin, fennel & chilli sausage, gorgonzola and mozzarella – a rich fusion of British and Italian flavours, crafted in true gastropub fashion.
In September, The Wigmore welcomes James Mackenzie, who, alongside his wife Kate, has run the acclaimed Pipe and Glass Inn since 2006. His toastie creation is a bold tribute to classic British flavours, featuring salt beef brisket, Yorkshire Blue cheese, rhubarb pickle, watercress and a pickled red onion salad. It will be available at The Wigmore until 31 August. His toastie will be available throughout September.
The third and final toastie in the series will be created by Nigel Haworth, Chef Patron and owner of The Three Fishes, and is set to debut in October. Full details will be revealed soon, rounding off the series with another bold twist on The Wigmore’s iconic classic.
